He lurks in the distance
Behind his armoured walls
Just a little boy, forced to become a man
Frightened of the evil within him
Knowing his father is, his nemisis
Numb to what his pain is
Terrified of what he must do
He shuts his eyes to what he is
Not understanding why he is here
A servant to some
A knight to others
The conflict of the power
The silver and the metal
The thundering domination of the kill
The death of what he doesn't know
He is detached from the shell
But feeling the raping of his soul
Damning himself for what he must do
He encases himself in the metal canister
Strapping his idealism inside
Shutting down his spirit
He steps into battle again.
