LOVE AND THINGS

On valentines a day of love and things
A day of sweet sappy bows and strings
Ties her up in knots and won't let go
Feeling strangled, you'll never know

How she ached to hear his voice once again
How she wished to her him call her name
Her thoughts were of childhood pain.
Her thoughts were of guilt, disgust and shame..

She hated him, yet she missed his touch
How she wished it didn't mean so much
She hated herself for the need deep within her
Her mind was a labyrinth, that truly imprisoned her

If only she could make the hunger for love go away
If only she could stand up and disobey
She not only loved him but she loathed him
She not only hated him but she needed him

She craved for his love or rather what she considered his love
She dreamed of loving him, she dreamed of killing him
She wept tears of pain.
