flashing lanterns
forming ice
nothing nice
freezing air
fingers bare
red lights glow
in the snow
frozen lungs
swollen tongues
shaking bones
snowflake clones
sliding cars
shifting stars
piles deep
vehicles creep
snow banks high
plows go by
snow stops
temperature drops
flying salt
traffic halts
turn right here
shifting gear
from creep to crawl
suburban sprawl
driveway in sight
familiar light
ignition off
nervous cough
unlock the door
home once more
